  Thankfully I haven't been in the situation where I need one but I think having a blood transfusion would be the most difficult. I can imagine their would be intense pressure from my family on that issue as the dubs think there's a medical benefit from abstention as well as a spriritual one.

  I haven't had Xmas or a tree yet either, so that's another 'worldly' thing I need to do. I wouldn't find it hard to celebrate Xmas though and put the party hat on and pull the crackers. It's just that all my family are dubs so I'd have no-one to pull my cracker with

  calling all young single men

  wew, well my divorce is finally...final, as of today and what a long hard road it has been, and unfortunatly more hardships are to come, since we have a child together.

  my ex tried to delay it just yesterday by faxing a sloppy handwritten note to the judge, to tell him he couldnt make it because he doesnt have a license,(suspended for dwi) and hasnt attended any of the hearings at all.

  he owes me over $5,000 for child support (deadbeat dad).

  Congrats on the divorce DM. Hey even I, the 3rd straightest man in Harrogate, think GBL's hot and Canada's not that far away.. is it?. Granted I know nothing about geography or where Wisconsin is and I always thought Alberta was a shampoo.

  Anyhoo, all the best for you and Devin, you obviously deserve a cool guy after what's happened and Devin too of course. I can't believe your ex has only seen him a couple of times in the past 6 months! He looked so cute in that pic with the paintbrush and the mischeivous look, how could you not love that kid! Tell me where the deadbeat lives and I'll get that dosh off him.. I can be pretty persuasive sometimes.. mainly through the use of nylon handcuffs and feathers

  I'm going to Bethel... Wanna Come?

  so my mother suprised me about a week ago by telling me we are going on a bus trip to bethel from april 13-17. for those of you who aren't used to this concept, american dubs seem to think that packing themselves on the bus with 60 other witnesses and driving for 4 days is somehow going to strengthen themselves spiritually.

  well, i doubt that will work for me.

  i was just wondering, is there anything i should look for/ be on the alert for?

  I visited the UK Befel a few years ago. Befel trips remind me of that Simpsons episode where Bart's class visit the box factory except as uninteresting as boxes are they're very useful unlike stuff coming out of Befel.

  I hope for your sake the 60 dubs on the bus don't start singing kingdom songs on the way there

  Hopefully it's the start of a great new relationship with your parents. I'm sure it will snowball form here cos you love them I know and they love you I'm sure and being apart is hurting both sides. Keep talking to them and they'll soon realise they're missing out on knowing their lovely daughter and sharing in her life. I'd keep off the sticky subjects like religion for a while though and just chat about normal stuff

  That sort of statement telling people they won't see death gets me really angry. Even if they do believe armageddon is coming they can't emphatically prove that's it's months or a few years away. It's an empty promise and even worse a total lie as those in authority saying it don't fully believe it and only say it to keep the carrot in front of the donkey.

  As classicist said 'hype' is a good word for it. The org. is like the religious version of Don King.

  " thread:sure enough, the figure represents the number of magazines printed, not circulated.

  it makes me wonder if the average magazine placements recorded in the km each month is actually magazines placed or the number of magazines printed, or shipped out of bethel.. .

  i knew i was a little odd, when i noticed it was only me who seemed to read magazines, starting at the back and working my way to the front.. but the other day, i realized when on this forum, that i always start at the bottom of the page of topics and work my way up to the top!!!!!!!!!.

  i know strange but true.

  I have a few eccentricities. I won't eat any food that begins with the letter F. Like chicken, for instance. (name the film that's from and get a gold star)

  I read magazines back to front too.. and smell things. I always make sandwiches in 3's for some reason, on staircases I only tread on the even numbered steps, I also prefer walking on the left hand side of the road.

  Are you gay or straight? It's just that you don't have a wife or girlfriend and I wondered.. but then you might be a playa, and that's cool. Having your wicked.. er, I mean righteous way with the ladeez and then movin' on.. I mean what are they gonna do; complain? Nah your God, it's all good. But then I was thinking you might be gay as you seem to favour dudes over women. Ladies seem to get a raw deal in your book and.. well all I'm saying is you seem to hang out with guys a lot... Abraham, Job, David, Jacob.. you know, there's a lot. You seem to mention men's 'seed' rather often too.. even more than Graham Norton! Well anyway... Oh shit God can I have a different question? I lost my wallet and I really need to find it.. it's half price drinks at Hooters tonight. Hey, ya wanna come? No, oh well ok.. I think I got the answer to my first question.

  A possible reason WHY, the 'New System' was never a Reality to us.

  perhaps i'm wrong, but this is a possible explanation.i was always taught that a new system would soon replace the old one.

  in this new system there would be no more war, everyone would eat from his own 'fig tree', they would build houses and love one another.. .

  in every publication that depicted this new system.....it was a picture of a beautiful lush productive earth, people were carrying baskets of vegetables and fruit walking together being of different decent, the men were bulding houses with smiles on their faces, and the children were playing with the animals.

  LMAO!!! Yeah, some paradise that'll be. I'd have to be stoned to enjoy it what with rotting bodies, collapsed buildings, no sanitation and some dubby elders telling me to dig a big hole for the heathen dead.

  I had an old dub friend of mine tell me that he wanted to open up a violin shop in the New System. The guy doesn't even listen to classical music. Guess there's not much else you're allowed to do.. its either that or the sandal hut.

  Or maybe a tie rack. You'd make a fortune... if you were allowed to charge for products that is. Gotta look smart while your plundering your neighbours house.

  What I felt about the New System? was that because the org. didn't really have any idea what it would be like and made pretty inane, unspecific forecasts every JW had their own idea of what paradise would be. Some JW's thought that some technology would be remain intact. Others thought that all languages would be brought back to the pre-babel dialect. No-one could prove or disprove anybodies ideas, no matter how far out, so every JW's personal paradise enticed them to think it could be a reality.
